Harshad Marathe is an illustrator, storyteller and book-cover designer whose work includes editorial illustration, publishing and independent visual projects. His illustrations often use visual storytelling to explore ideas beyond the literal content of a text.

Illustration and book design

Marathe has produced illustration and design work for publishers, international organisations and editorial clients. His client list includes Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette, the World Bank, Human Rights Watch and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).[1]

His portfolio includes book covers, illustrated books and editorial commissions, alongside independent creative work.[1]

Education

Harshad Marathe graduated from the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay programme at the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2014. His subsequent career has combined commercial illustration with personal and narrative projects, with a particular emphasis on layered visual storytelling.[1]
