Supreet Marathe is a congenital cardiac surgeon, surgeon-scientist and academic in Brisbane, Australia. He works at Queensland Children's Hospital and holds an academic position with the University of Queensland.

Dr Marathe specialises in congenital cardiac surgery, treating structural heart conditions affecting children. His medical and surgical training has included experience in India and Australia as well as specialist training at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the United States.[1]

Research

Alongside clinical surgery, Supreet Marathe conducts research into outcomes following paediatric cardiac surgery. His work has included collaborative studies with the Australia-New Zealand Fontan Registry and research into right-ventricle-to-pulmonary-artery conduits used in paediatric cardiac procedures.[1]

His research interests also include the application of artificial intelligence to the reporting and analysis of outcomes following paediatric cardiac surgery. At the University of Queensland he contributes to research, teaching and the supervision and mentoring of students and clinical researchers.[1]
